Johnathan Murphy Memorial Collection

Books and audiobooks for adults and kids, gifted in memory of Johnathan Murphy, featuring the subjects fantasy and science fiction, ancient and U.S. history, Asian culture, and mythology, which were of interest to him.

 

Books gifted in memory of Marilyn Grande featuring historical, popular, and literary fiction and nonfiction. Marilyn enjoyed heart-felt stories with complex characters, independent women, and a positive tone.

Join a Book Discussion

Book Discussion for Adults

  • Morning Book Club meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 10-11:00 A.M.
  • Evening Book Club meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6:30-7:30 P.M.

Meetings are held in person at the library, with a hybrid Zoom option available most months for those who wish to join in discussions online. Registration is required for space considerations and to receive a Zoom link. Book groups are open to Hooksett Library cardholders only (for new members).

Print, large print, and audio formats of each month's book selection are provided by the library. Drop by or reserve your copy by contacting us at 603-485-6092 or hplbooks@hooksettlibrary.org. eBook and eAudiobook copies are often available on the CloudLibrary and Libby apps.
