Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
This was an equally adventuresome and emotional read by the author of The Martian. It might be a little more accessible than his first book because, while it's long, it's full of dialogue and a bit less technical language (but still enough to get science satisfaction!). A great read and would make a great gift.
The Kitchen Front by Jennifer Kelly
If you liked Great British Baking Show, Downton Abbey, and The Land Girls, you'll probably like this book!
The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman
A skilled voice actor really brought the warm and witty characters to life in this mystery. I really felt like I got to know this smart and capable group of elder friends, and I can't wait to see what they get up to next in the newly-released The Man Who Died Twice!
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
This Marvel movie is filled with action, of course, and the well-rounded cast provided lots of laughs and major family feels. Looking forward to the next time we see Shang-Chi in the Universe!
Seeing this classic science fiction book translated in gorgeousness on the big screen was exciting. Loved this tale of socio-political and religious intrigue, family and cultural dynamics with cool flying machines and mysterious sand beasts!
Based on a novel, this non-stop series spans genres. History, fantasy, horror, and science fiction blend to make for a thrilling, scary, emotional ride. Not for the faint of heart at times, but I learned a lot and was deeply moved in turn, so worth it!
The Crown season 4
Moving into more modern history during my lifetime has been an interesting, and sometimes heart-wrenching, change for this series in which the costumes, sets, and acting are always stunning.
